2010 World Cup Supports SAGDB
  As hosts of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, South Africa is hoping to create a legacy that lasts way beyond the tournament itself. In order to uplift the country on many levels, the tournament organisers are looking at projects that will provide benefits to a wide spectrum of communities.

Phiwakahle Picked for IPT
  One of the top players in the SA Golf Development Board (SAGDB) programme in KwaZulu-Natal, Phiwakahle Mkhoma, has been selected to represent his province at the u/18 inter-provincial tournament in Bloemfontein in December. The event is the premier competition for junior golfers in South Africa and is run by the SA Junior Golf Foundation.

U/12 Inter-provincial gives SAGDB players a chance to shine
  Eight players from the SA Golf Development Board (SAGDB) competed at the recent u/12 inter-provincial tournament at Clovelly Golf Club in Cape Town. The competition, which was organised by the SA Junior Golf Foundation, included teams from across the country.

Talented SAGDB players impress top pros
  The most talented players from SA Golf Development Board (SAGDB) programmes across the country gathered in Johannesburg this past weekend for a four-day intensive training camp. The youngsters received instruction from leading PGA professionals at the Gary Player Golf Experience based at the Vodacom World of Golf as well as from the SAGDB's technical PGA advisor, Grant Hepburn. The camp was funded by the National Lottery Distribution Trust Fund.

About the SAGDB

Founded in 1999, the SA Golf Development Board (SAGDB) is the only body officially tasked with growing the game of golf in South Africa. The SAGDB is a non-profit organisation (with section 18A donations tax exemption status) and is fully endorsed by government and all of South Africa's official golfing bodies. Through its PGA-approved coaching programme, the board currently has the capacity to coach 3,500 children per week in ten regions. The SAGDB is sponsored by SAA, City Lodge, the Pro Shop, ProRange and ExpandaSign.
