Hillside's support for golf development remains strong

Hillside Golf Club in Pretoria North has supported the SA Golf Development Board (SAGDB) ever since it launched its programme in Gauteng North. The club has shown commitment to growing the game of golf in the region through a range of initiatives.

Hillside offers the use of its course for SAGDB coaching, provides a storage facility for equipment, organizes holiday competitions for the SAGDB learners to play with club members, and selects SAGDB learners to its junior league teams if they are good enough on merit. More...

Nkosinathi selected to represent Ekurhuleni

Nkosinathi Dauwa, one of the promising youngsters in the SA Golf Development Board (SAGDB) programme in Ekurhuleni, was chosen to represent his province at the SA Boys u/14 tournament at Kloof Golf Club in Durban from 28 June to 1 July. 14 Year old Nkosinathi lives in Dayveton and is a grade 7 learner in Mpengesi Primary School. Two SA Golf Development Board boys in Boland u/14 team

Two players from the SA Golf Development Board (SAGDB) programme in Boland represented their province at the SA Boys u/14 tournament at Kloof Golf Club in Durban from 28 June to 1 July. The national event is the biggest tournament of the year for players in this age group.

Trevor Thomas from Atlantis and Aldean Swartz from Ceres are currently first and second on the Boland u/14 order of merit respectively and were therefore selected as the top players in the squad. More...
