SAGDB team to play against Scotland
A team of nine past and present SA Golf Development Board players has been chosen to represent the country's development programme in a match against Scotland later this month. The match, which will also include a team of top juniors from the SA Junior Golf Foundation (SAJGF), will be played on 14 and 15 March at Houghton Golf Club.

SAGDB youngsters aim high with Ernie's Foundation
Thirteen players from the SA Golf Development Board have been selected as part of the 2010 intake for the Ernie Els & Fancourt Foundation (EEFF). The promising youngsters from six different regions were chosen through the Ernie Els Talent Search Golf Days held around the country towards the end of 2009.

SAGDB players impress at KZN-u23 Champs
Ten current and former players from the SA Golf Development Board competed at the recent KwaZulu-Natal u23 Golf Championships at Amanzimtoti Country Club. All the players were single figure golfers that have come through the development programme in the province.

About the SAGDB

Founded in 1999, the SA Golf Development Board (SAGDB) is the only body officially tasked with growing the game of golf in South Africa. The SAGDB is a non-profit organisation (with section 18A donations tax exemption status) and is fully endorsed by government and all of South Africa's official golfing bodies. Through its PGA-approved coaching programme, the board currently has the capacity to coach 3,500 children per week in ten regions. The SAGDB is sponsored by SAA, City Lodge, the Pro Shop and ProRange.
