Junior Players to Poland

Three South African juniors have been generously sponsored with air tickets to Poland, enabling them to play in the next WJGS event. They are Paarl's Armandt Scholtz, winner of the Kenako SA Junior Masters boys' championship, Kim Daniels from Uitenhage and Lwazi Gqira from East London.

Scotland clinches Tri-Invitational against SAGDB, SA Juniors

The Scottish team recorded an emphatic victory at the second annual Tri-Invitational Tournament between Scotland, the SAGDB and SA Juniors. The 10-man Scottish delegation faced off against a squad of past and present players from the SAGDB and top junior golfers from South Africa in the 36-hole international held at Randpark Golf Club in February.

Strong SAGDB representation in Border teams
Four SAGDB players have been included in the Border teams to compete in this year's Fish River Challenge. Chuma Adonis, Mangaliso Mnoto and Thembani Mdibaniso have been included in the eight-player u/14 team, while Liso Dikileyo was chosen as one of six in the u/12 team.

Lwazi and Solly in u/23 team
Two former SAGDB learners have been included in the Border Coelacanths u/23 team for this year's inter-provincial tournament. Lwazi Gqira from East London Golf Club and Solly Jonas from King Williams Town Golf Club are part of the eight-man team chosen for the event.

Robin Raises Eyebrows
16-year old Robin Meyer from George has been a steady improver in the SAGDB's Southern Cape programme over the past few months. The nine-handicapper has been working hard at his game to push for provincial selection.

About the SAGDB

The SAGDB is a non-profit organisation (with section 18A donations tax exemption status). Through its PGA-approved coaching programme, the board currently has the capacity to coach 1,500 children per week in nine areas. The SAGDB is sponsored by SAA, City Lodge and ProRange.
