SAGDB's top players gather in Cape Town

21 of the SAGDB's most talented young golfers met in Cape Town from the 8 to 11 April for in-depth training camp that included individual coaching and swing analysis. These players make up the SAGDB's "national squad" - the most promising players in all age groups from across the country.

Callaway Boost for SAGDB
Leading golf equipment manufacturer, Callaway, has lent its significant support to the SAGDB through a donation of around R300,000 worth of golf clubs. The equipment will be a major boost to talented young players across South Africa, many of whom have been playing with out-of-date or inferior clubs.

Four SAGDB players in Boland teams
Four of the SAGDB's most promising players in the Boland region have been included in their age group teams for the upcoming triangular inter-provincial tournament against Western Province and the Southern Cape. The event will take place at Riversdal from 13 to 15 May.

About the SAGDB

The SAGDB is a non-profit organisation (with section 18A donations tax exemption status). Through its PGA-approved coaching programme, the board currently has the capacity to coach 1,500 children per week in nine areas. The SAGDB is sponsored by SAA, City Lodge and ProRange.
